Amos Ridley & Sons Pty Ltd has been a supplier of transport Services since 1959. The company was founded by Amos Ridley after he left BHP to purse a business as a local contract carrier. He ran his business successfully and then in the late 60’s he was successful in gaining a contract to cart Coal for local Coal companies.

It was at this time that the business expanded rapidly and became a major supplier to the local coal industry transporting coal to the washeries for export. Due to the expansion, Amos called on the experience of his family to assist him thru this time and brought his sons into the business to help the company operate up to 30 Semi trailer trucks and earthmoving machinery.

Over time the company has shifted its focus from Coal to being a supplier to the Civil Construction Industry for Construction materials.

The Company today is still run by The Ridley family with Amos’s third Son Keith the Managing Director.

Keith is supported by Cheryl Ridley who is the wife of the late Les Ridley (former Managing Director) in the position of Administration Manager and Company Secretary.

The Company runs a flat management structure headed by Ian Choice as Operations Manager, additionally there is dedicated staff members looking after the functions of Allocations, Accounts and Maintenance Coordination.

The Company maintains its own fleet of late Model Kenworths with an experienced team of Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
